Mary – Dental Hygienist
I knew I wanted to work in dentistry back in fifth grade. After studying psychology at UNCW, I transferred to Cape Fear Community College to focus on dentistry and later earned my Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene and Applied Sciences. I continue to build my skills through continuing education and am certified in Myofunctional Therapy, which helps retrain tongue posture and swallowing habits. I love learning more about how dentistry connects to overall health.
Outside of work, my husband and I stay busy keeping up with our son, Nico, especially as we cheer him on while he rides dirt bikes. We also have two small dogs that we happily spoil. In my free time, I enjoy decorating, organizing, and making our house feel like home.

Tera – Dental Assistant
My husband and I were both born and raised in Wilmington. We are blessed with two wonderful daughters who fill our lives with joy. I have been with our Wilmington, NC dentist since 2007, and I truly love my job! It is an honor to help transform patients’ lives, one smile at a time. Creating new, positive memories for patients who have had bad experiences is incredibly rewarding. Dentistry has evolved significantly since I became a dental assistant in 1999, and I am committed to being part of a team that continuously learns new methods to provide exceptional and compassionate care for our patients.

Stacy – Dental Assistant
I moved to North Carolina two years ago with my fiancé, Justin. I am originally from Bristol, Rhode Island. I love the beach life and relaxing with our three bull dogs (Butch Cassidy, Carolina, and Ladybug). My son, who just retired from the Army after 4 years, just recently moved to Wilmington and I could not be more thrilled to have him around more often!
I have been in the dental field for over twenty five years and I couldn’t imagine my life any other way. I take pride in the fact that I have been trained in so many advanced aspects of dentistry, but have specialized in cosmetics. Everyone feels better with a great big smile!

Angela – Dental Assistant
I was born and raised right here in Wilmington, and I could not imagine living anywhere else! I graduated from CFCC in 2005 with a certificate in dental assisting and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Not only have I had the pleasure of meeting and working with some amazing people, but I am also incredibly blessed to call Kuzma Advanced Dentistry my work home. Our staff is incredibly talented, knowledgeable and kind. If I am not at work you can most definitely find me at home or at the beach spending time with my friends and family; my 9 year old son, Matthew, makes life amazing!

Stephanie – Dental Assistant
I am originally from Queens, New York, but I have absolutely fallen in love with Wilmington! All I ever knew were busy streets with dreadful traffic. I’m very happy with the change of pace! When not at work, I love experimenting with different make-up looks and outfits.
I have been in the dental field since I was eighteen years old, and I absolutely love it. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Kuzma and the team; I am constantly learning and growing. Helping people achieve their dental goals and seeing their excitement is honestly one of the best feelings!

Ines – Patient Coordinator
I am originally from Brazil. My husband, Lars, and I moved here from the Boston area two years ago with our westie dog, Huckie. Since moving here, our family has grown by one fur baby named Willie. Wilmington has been very welcoming to us. We love spending time with the great friends that we have here, our dogs, and exploring all the great things that Wilmington has to offer.
I’ve been in the dental field since I graduated from dental school in Brazil in 2009. My professional life took a different turn after moving to the States, but I am so glad that Kuzma Advanced Dentistry brought me back to the dental field. I love being able to improve people’s dental health and seeing the impact a great smile can make on their life.

Liz – Patient Coordinator
When people ask where I’m from, I usually laugh and say, “America.” I was born in California, spent much of my childhood in Kansas City, Missouri and Wilmington, Delaware, and later studied biology at the University of Delaware after starting college at Vanderbilt.
I’ve lived in several states over the years, but Wilmington, NC has been home for the past sixteen years. It’s the perfect mix of beaches, a lively riverfront, and a welcoming college-town feel. My two children, Austin and Payton, both graduated from UNCW and still live here, which makes the city even more special.
When I’m not working, you can often find me playing pickleball, traveling, reading on the beach, or staying active in any way I can. Joining Dr. Kuzma’s office has been one of the best decisions of my career. Watching patients regain comfort, confidence, and long-term dental wellness through his neuromuscular approach is incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to work alongside such a caring group.
